Ms. Ponder-Revell is Vice President of Revell Group International, Inc. a global business and security consulting firm. She specializes in health care and drugs and violence in the workplace issues.
Born in Mars Hill, North Carolina, Ms. Ponder-Revell attended East Tennessee State University where she majored in Education. After raising a family of four children, Ms. Ponder-Revell continued her education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia. While working on a neurological unit, she continued her nursing studies receiving her Registered Nurse diploma in 1987. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate with degrees in General Studies and Nursing. Her primary experience has been in Neurology, Pediatrics and Long Term/Elder care.
Ms. Ponder-Revell's nursing experience includes being Charge Nurse in a Nursing Center in Annandale, Virginia and a Home Care Nursing Supervisor for seriously ill and terminally ill pediatric patients in Northern Virginia. She was the Nurse Manager of a hospital based Alzheimer's Respite Center in Alexandria, Virginia where she supervised the care of those patients with Alzheimer's and Alzheimer's related diseases. The target of care at a Respite Center is the Primary Care Giver. In the role as Manager of the Center, it was her responsibility to meet with family members, counsel caregivers, and provide adequate resource information. In Dallas, Texas, she was the Director of Health Care Services for a major Assisted Living Center.
Ms. Ponder-Revell has served as a consultant on Elder care Facilities for a major international corporation (Hyundai). She has experience in marketing at the national level having represented The Marketing Group (TMG) in the introduction of a non permeable fabric (TYVEK), produced by DuPont, to the health care and law enforcement communities.
Ms. Ponder-Revell specializes in human resource management, domestic violence, drugs and violence in the workplace and educational institutions and crimes against and victimization of the elderly.
As a member of the Plano Rotary Club, Ms. Ponder-Revell served as chairperson of the Governor's District Conference Planning Committee and she served as District Secretary for Rotary District 5810 (1999-2002). She is a member the Dallas Council on World Affairs and the North Texas Crime Commission.
